The Next Access Mission Trip: Los Angeles Dream Center ‘08

As most of you know, one of the central themes at Access is showing people God’s love through acts of service. We want our relationship to be more than words, we want to show God’s love and greatness with our actions, by the way we live our lives.

In the past two years we have sent five teams of young people from Access to New Orleans to help in the rebuilding efforts. We have seen lives healed and houses and churches rebuilt. We have also seen the eternal impact that these trips have had on those giving their time and effort to the people of New Orleans.

Sweating to the oldies

I am two weeks into my new exercise program.  Eating right, riding the elliptical machine, doing push-ups, cycling - really the whole sha-bang.  I have discovered a very hard, yet real truth… getting in shape takes a lot of hard work and the results are not quick in their arrival.  Two weeks, five pounds down… shouldn’t it be more like twenty!  As I munch down my carrot stick a parallel truth strikes me… spiritual growth is a lot like exercise… it takes hard work and endurance.
